GLASS IS NOT THAT

A unique international compilation in which 10 musicians and sound artists present themselves with exclusive compositions based on audio recordings of Czech glass production. The field recordings were originally recorded  for the multimedia performance about decline of the Czech glass industry, Glass Spilled Out From The Broken Bathtub premiered at International Glass Symposium  in Novy Bor (Cz). The idea to provide this sound database to other musicians gave rise to an original compilation album.

To my delight, an exuberant mix of Czech and foreign musicians and sound artists gathered on on the album to share a passion for working with unusual sonic material. The CD GLASS IS NOT THAT features compositions by the following authors: world-famous sound-artist Francisco López, Berlin glitch-hop minimalist Phon.O., electro freak provocateurs I Love 69 Popgejů, Czech sound-artist Stanislav Abrahám, electro-acoustic sound painter Slavek Kwi, one-woman synth pop My Name Is Ann, artist and musician Daniel Vlček from Gumaguar. The minimalist design of the CD cover, based on the concept of the color spectrum of glass, was created by supramodernist graphic studio The Rodina

Each album from  the limited edition of 100 pieces is one of a kind.
