NEW NATURE

Immersive transmedia universe • Film • Music • Installation • XR

2023 - ongoing

An immersive transmedia universe exploring the evolving relationship between humans, technology and nature.

CONCEPT

New Nature explores a future in which humans, technology and nature are no longer understood as separate forces, but as interconnected parts of a living ecosystem.

Rather than imagining technology as the opposite of nature, the project asks whether it could become part of its evolution — giving rise to new forms of symbiosis, consciousness and coexistence.

Through sound, moving image, physical materials and immersive environments, New Nature explores new relationships between human and non-human actors, organic and technological systems, and physical and virtual worlds.

The future need not be built on dominance. It can be built on relationships.

FROM MUSIC TO WORLD

The project takes its name from NEW NATURE, a composition created for Morávková’s Bohemian Cristal Instrument and released as a single in 2024.

New Nature is being developed alongside the debut Bohemian Cristal Instrument album as a beyond-music world extending the album beyond sound into moving image, physical space and immersive experience.

At its center is an experimental film / video artwork, conceived for both cinematic presentation and gallery-based installation. From there, the project expands into immersive installation, live audiovisual performance, XR and physical glass objects.

The project grows directly from Morávková’s sound practice: music becomes image, image becomes environment, and the environment expands into a world that can be entered and experienced.

THE INSTRUMENT AS MEDIATOR

At the center of the New Nature universe is the Bohemian Cristal Instrument — Morávková’s acoustic sound sculpture made from metal and Czech glass.

Within New Nature, the instrument functions as a mediator between worlds: acoustic yet futuristic, materially rooted in glassmaking traditions while simultaneously becoming a source for sound, imagery and digital environments.

Glass becomes a recurring material and metaphor throughout the project — simultaneously natural and manufactured, ancient and technological, fragile and resilient.

THE NEW NATURE UNIVERSE

New Nature is currently being developed across:

Film / Video Art — an experimental moving-image work combining physical performance, VFX and emerging technologies, conceived for cinematic presentation and gallery-based installation

Immersive Installation — audiovisual environments extending the New Nature world into physical space

Live AV Performance — Bohemian Cristal Instrument, electronic music, light, visuals and generative systems

AR / VR — spatial digital extensions of the New Nature environment

Phygital Glass Sculptures — physical glass manifestations of forms originating within the virtual world, created for gallery exhibitions and immersive installations

Each medium offers a different point of entry into the same evolving universe.

DEVELOPMENT

The New Nature concept was selected for ISEA Paris 2023 through ISEA’s international open call, from more than 1,600 submissions across 40 countries.

In 2024, Morávková released the composition NEW NATURE and created the first audiovisual teaser establishing the emerging visual language of the project.

The project was further selected for development through Emerging Producers / Czech Wave at Ji.hlava IDFF in 2026and is currently being developed alongside the debut Bohemian Cristal Instrument album.

Currently in development, with completion expected in 2027.
